Prompt recipes for every aesthetic

The CutePost teamAugust 24, 20262 min read

The templates already carry taste — a prompt just steers the vibe. Once you know the formula, you can generate a whole week of on-aesthetic posts in one sitting.

The formula

[format] + [the exact text] + [aesthetic/mood] + [color] + [texture/detail]

Three rules make this reliable:

  • Put the exact words in quotes. If you don't, the AI will paraphrase instead of using your line verbatim.
  • Name one aesthetic, not three. "Coquette" beats "cute but also edgy but also minimal" — a clear direction beats a blended one.
  • Steer color and texture. Words like grainy, soft shadow, gradient, and paper texture are what make a post read as curated instead of generic.

Recipes by aesthetic

Append any of these to a template + text and the mood does the rest.

AestheticAdd this
Coquetteblush pink, tiny bow motif, pearl, soft grain, feminine serif
Clean girlcream, minimal, thin serif, expensive and understated
Dark academiawarm library tones, desk-lamp glow, elegant serif, paper texture
Celestialdeep navy, gold stars, moon, dreamy and luxe
Sad-girl / nostalgicgrainy film texture, muted autumn tones, moody
Soft lifewarm cream, golden hour, cozy handwritten feel

Example: a quote card + celestial becomes — "Make a celestial affirmation card that says 'everything meant for me is already on its way' — deep navy, gold stars, moon, dreamy and luxe."

A few to try right now

  • Lock-screen: "Make an iPhone lock-screen notification that says 'the universe: it's already on its way' — soft blurred pastel, dreamy."
  • Apple Notes diary: "Make an Apple Notes diary entry titled 'soft life check-in' with 4 cozy gratitude lines — warm cream, handwritten feel."
  • Spotify now-playing: "Make a Spotify now-playing card for '{{song}}' by '{{artist}}' — moody lavender gradient, glowing."
  • Quote card: "Make a minimal quote card that says 'romanticize the life you already have' — soft beige, editorial serif, grainy."

Refine instead of restarting

If a post is close but not quite right, tweak the color, accent, or background rather than generating a whole new one — it costs a fraction of a credit and keeps the parts that were already working.
